Investing in “creative destruction” stocks – an expert’s opinion

Mitch Rubin’s opinion on investing in “creative destruction” stocks at this time was recently expressed in MarketWatch.

Ruben manages the River Park Long/Short Opportunity Fund which looks after $3.8 billion in assets. The fund has the highest rating (5 stars) awarded by Morningstar.

Both the size of the fund and its Morningstar rating are impressive, aren’t they?

Year to date, Rubin’s fund has grown by 8.33%.   Year to date, the S&P 500 has grown by 13.28%. (See below.)

Over the last year, Rubin’s fund has grown by 28.98%. Over the last year, the S&P 500 has grown by 38.53%. (See below.)

Not so impressive, is it?
